THANG LONG CITADEL MUSEUM
2014 – The Thang Long Old Citadel is a gem to Hanoi, which could develop the tourism and reinforce Hanoi as a prime historical and cultural destination in South-East Asia.
Our concept for the Thang Long Old Citadel Museum is simple and modest because we think that Architecture should serve the objectives first but not make unjustified and costly gesticulation.
In our project, we focus on 3 main targets: 1 is archaeology (the preservation of the authentic relic and re-creation of the sense of history for the young generation), 2 is the passive design, and good condition for preservation, with the use of natural ventilation (thanks to Canadian geothermal well, and vegetable roof), 3 is the cost efficiency as we think cost saving is a good humble responsible attitude (the city can save money for other purposes).
