NAM DINH PASSIVE HOUSE
2015- The owner of this project is an old man living from the self-agriculture from his yard & pond, so all food are natural and from mother Nature. His house is also located only 10 km from the sea, where he can benefit the fresh breeze.
Then, we start to design the extension of his house. The idea of passive design and renovation came up immediately, as nowadays it is not only important to have a good energy saving but also a construction cost efficiency.
This passive house is designed following the climate and the site, thanks to the pond to refresh the ventilated sea-breeze air, and the flexible double-skin louver facade. In winter we can close all window to keep the warm. In mid-season, we can use the louver to stop the sun light and take the fresh ventilation. In summer, we can close the windows and use the air conditioning.
